30 Day Challenge! Day Two: Fav Animal

Like Eveth said before me... cats and dogs were too common so I wanted to draw something different.
This is an ermine. :D Specifically an ermine during winter. I feel myself very drawn to these creatures though I haven't seen any in person but lookit dems! They're so cute with their widdle ears and sock-shaped bodies... oAo

30 Day Challenge! Day One: Draw yourself

XD I... can't really draw myself without drawing him, now can I? I was trying out something new today... yet again... and this came out. I see potential... but Skye needs work. I need to fix the proportions for this... "style", too. Haven't really gotten it down pat but... it has a look.

This is Skye. He's been my closest companion, my confidante, my voice of reason and my courage for years now, so much so that he's a part of me and I'm a part of him. Can't say I created him either. We just... met. :D

Now... let's see if I can keep up this 30 day thing.

Training Session: Action Poses!

So today, I decided to work out my kinks. Did some poses today using shaolin kung fu pictures as reference. I'll flesh out some I really like sometime.













Man, this is fun! Gets my blood pumping and makes me kinda hungry. Always a good sign... maybe?

Today's the day of the Eclipse premiere... and I have to watch it. Not by my choice, believe me but it's either that or fail ORDEV... for the third time. Anyway, if you can't read it, the text reads:

This will be my sworn duty... even though I don't have a vuvuzela.

WIP: Quetzalcoatl

Quetzalcoatl was, as his name indicates, a feathered serpent, a flying reptile (much like a dragon), who was a boundary maker (and transgressor) between earth and sky. He was also a creator deity having contributed essentially to the creation of Mankind. He also had anthropomorphic forms, for example in his aspects as Ehecatl the wind god. Among the Aztecs the name Quetzalcoatl was also a priestly title, as the most two important priests of the Aztec Templo Mayor were called "Quetzalcoatl Tlamacazqui". In the Aztec ritual calendar, different deities were associated with the cycle of year names: Quetzalcoatl was tied to the year Ce Acatl (One Reed), which correlates to the year 1519

I've always been fond of Mayan and Aztec mythology. Quetzalcoatl's one of my favourite gods, same with Tezcatlipoca. I can't explain it but mebbe it's the whole "Whoo awesome feathered dragon" thing. XD;; so much so that I associate my favourite OC, Skye, to Quezzie.
